Pritnam and her family helped establish the first Sikh Gurdwara in Gravesend

Pritnam was born in 1933, and has lived in Gravesend for 46 years Her husband arrived in 1950 and they first lived together in Wakefield Street before moving to Old Road East. Pritnam and her family were heavily involved with the foundation of the first Sikh Gurdwara in Edwin Street, Gravesend. The building was a Victorian terrace house bought for �300 in the 1950\'s and her family donated �100 towards its purchase.
